Buster is the first bird, although this bird has a boys
name she is female – when I got her she already came with this name – it suits her very well, she can be quite
a grumpy bird sometimes but loving too.
I got her of someone who did not want her anymore. At
this point she was quite young and very tame she would site on my shoulder etc…
This soon changed when I put her in with Max.
She must be over the age of five – she is a cinnamon
pied
I got Max of a friend of my mums – he got him from
a rescue centre – the owners for some weird reason could no longer look after max or his brother who was also at the
rescue centre. Max even though he is in with Buster is still quite tame and will sometimes sit on my hand and climb up to
my shoulder and sit there for a little while.
Max must be about 6 years old or older – he is
a normal grey split with pearl.
Tom & Jerry are both females (I thought they were
males, the names just stuck) they are Max’s & Busters babies. They were born on March so they are almost 2 years
old. I had a great experience raising these babies, I even saw little Jerry hatch out his egg. I called them Tom and Jerry
because jerry was always smaller than tom when they were babies even though they were only one day apart. Jerry was always
they cheeky one – I thought there names suited them at the time very well when I thought they were male.
These two are both normal greys split with pearl as well.
Max & Buster had another two babies from there first
breeding before Tom & Jerry even existed – There names were Jack & Zara. These two were very beautiful birds
Jack was a pearl and Zara was a cinnamon pearl pied – they were the most beautiful cockatiels I had ever saw. Sadly
when Jack was about 10 weeks old he had a soar eye – got took to the vet etc… but sadly my little man died in
my hands that night – I will never forget that horrible moment. This might seem weird I was about 14 at the time but
I said to him “ell me when you are going to die” at that moment my little boy opened up his beautiful marked wings
twice – and that is when he passed away. ;/
Zara sadly suffered a horrible death – which is
a very long and sad story – which I will again never forget.
These two birds were so special to me. They were very
tame birds as I handled them a lot.
