Zara belonged
to my aunt as she bred her, so I have new Zara since she was born.
I had Zara
in my house because her ears were not up at the age of, 11 months; we were a bit worried that they were never going to go
up, even though they were up at the age of 6 weeks.
I decided
to ask my mum and my aunt if I could have Zara to try & get her ears up, as she would be inside and not in kennels, after
lots of pleading my mum eventually gave in : D it was weird for Zara to start of with as she was not use to being in the house
for long, also with the heat being in the house as well - she was use to her kennel. Zara would phase all of the time however
after a few days she got use to it and started enjoying the long walk I would give her, she also started playing with toys
(even though now she wants to play with them 24/7 lol) I took her long walk so she would come back and sleep, and then that’s
when her ears would actually come up, so after doing this for a few weeks they started to become stronger, and when she was
11 and a half months old they were up and have not been back down since. Also because Zara became very settled in my
house and after lots of pleading with my mum, zara stayed : D and she is a very happy cheeky psycho puppy the way
she should be lol
I have had
her since August the 12th 2005 - so in a way she was a great 16th birthday present for me as my birthday was on the 17th of
August.

Zara has
great shape - the only problem is her length she is 25 inches at the withers at the moment. Zara was not interested in the
show ring, Zara hated it allot.
So because
of this I don't show her.

As Zara Hated
the show ring, I deiced to do obedience with her which she quite likes to.
We even got
a trophy for being the best beginners : D
I also hope
to do agility once her obedience is a bit better - as she loves to do this as well, even more so than the obedience.

Zara is a
very sweet girl; I wanted Zara to meet all of my animals eventually, so I decided to let her near one of my pet rabbits Jake.
Although I was very worried at the same him, as she had never been near a rabbit before, so I did it slowly. Until I new she
wouldn't hurt him. Her motherly instincts are very strong and the only thing she wanted to do to Jake was clean him, even
tough Jake wasn't to happy about this.
After a little
while they both decided they had had enough of running round my room, so they went to sleep.

Zara is a very special dog to me and i love her to bits. I really hope we do well in obedience and agility in the future
aswell. Maybe oneday Zara would be my brood bitch, as i hope to have my own kennel and my own affix. Zara's hip score is 16.

I have gained Zara's confidence a lot - she isn't scared of strange dogs anymore - she
ignored them if they ignore her - If they bark at her she will bark back. If I tell her to stop she will.
With all the confidence gaining Zara has started to actually like show training so I am
planning on showing her when she is better trained - she just loves to please me.
I am still going to do OB as well and hopefully compete with that as well :D
She is a very intelligent dog.
